The STRIVE program was established in Bellevue in 2003.   STRIVE (Students Taking a Renewed Interest in the Value of Education) is intended for high school seniors who may be struggling in school or uncertain about plans after graduation.  Students must make a commitment at the beginning of the school year to participate in the program.  STRIVE  is designed to meet the students needs through a series of monthly meetings (September - April) on a variety of topics with Rotarians as facilitators.  Guest speakers are often invited to present programs as experts on a particular topic.  The focus of STRIVE is to help students prepare for life after graduation, either in the work force or in college.  We set a goal for students enrolled in the program to improve their grades and attendance, as well as attitude and participation.   Successful STRIVE participants are eligible for a $500 scholarship from The Rotary Club of Bellevue, as well as a District scholarship.
